来自美国明尼苏达州奥瓦通纳（Owatonna, Minnesota）的大学二年级生，Adam Young，于2007年组建了Owl City乐队。他是这支流行电子乐队的唯一成员，负责主音、合成器和编曲等工作。随之独立发行的首张EP《Of June》，2008年发行了首张专辑《Maybe I’m Dreaming》，随后在2009年7月14日发行了他们的第二张专辑《Ocean Eyes 》，而他标志性的主打单曲「 Fireflies 」更是飞上了公告牌单曲榜的冠军宝座。饶有趣味的歌词有如抒情诗一般的迷人魅力，又颇具美学的魔力。你会惊叹于冰冷的键盘上怎能滑落如此圆润的音符，电子元素的巧妙运用使得整张专辑饱满而不失利落，跃动着生机盎然的温情。

“Owl City自己也承认，他的声音就象少女倾诉心事一样温文细气，但对旋律节奏的掌握却十分到位.专辑以欢快的电子旋律征服了不少听众，象宝石般闪烁明亮。而Maybe I’m Dreaming在演绎方面Owl City显然更加投入，从精致的和声到深情的合唱，Owl City的个人魅力也越加凸现。甜蜜的声线清新的电子音乐，这貌试简单的配搭却被Owl City演绎得绚丽多彩，尽管夏日未到但已仿佛感受到那份清爽的惬意。”

Adam Young在他的MySpace上写到，由于失眠的缘故，大部分歌曲都是在凌晨的时候制作出来的。让我想起康德和他的哥尼斯堡小镇。但Owl City终究没有康德那样的伟大，有人批评他新专辑没有突破。这是每个音乐人都会面临的困境，尤其是独立音乐。独立音乐、清新摇滚之类的音乐形式，最大的 优点和最大的缺点都是：那一成不变的调子。或清新、或欢快、或忧伤、或自省，很难改变。而且一旦改变了就不是原来的自己了，这是个悖论。

这些日子的北京异常寒冷，手指和嘴唇都变得僵硬了。偶尔露脸的太阳，像月亮般羞涩，如果能放到口中一定会化了。

工作室的小小成果让他们兴奋不已，而我却只是暗暗的叹了口气。一个叫时间的老人在眼前的白墙上来回地刷白灰，古老的收音机则在耳畔喋喋不休。每个音符都如同长出脚，跃过我的头顶，踩痛了我的肩。

人生若只如初见，该多好。最初的相遇，美好的感觉就像春天初放的花朵，温馨、自然、真诚、清澈。心中浅存牵挂，却不必讲出，一句发自内心的问候足已。这种淡淡的情怀让人释怀，让人坦然，让人心安。

或许，美丽的梦和美丽的诗一样，都是可遇而不可求的，常常在最没能料到的时刻里出现。一旦出现，就如同在悬崖边看风景，小心翼翼，却黯黯地欣喜、憧憬、期待。有时候，美好只有在梦中才是色彩缤纷的，放诸现实便变了模样。心中的温暖在瞬间被抽空，简单的一句话却变成了纸枷锁。一场灰白色的送别，瞬间，或者百年。

深夜的街上，灯光昏暗，人影稀稀。老赵骑上单车，载着我，疯狂地穿过空旷的行人道。响亮的呐喊，傻傻的笑。感谢，尽管我不知该说什么。
